Expressive Arts

July 27th - August 7th

Ages 8-13

During the first week of this session the children will have an opportunity to experience and express themselves through classes covering a vast array of art forms, including West African dance and drumming, creative movement, singing and acting. We will go on an outing to a local drama or dance performance. To end this session the children participate in a beautiful production inspired by different ethnic stories from around the world. The children help to make the performance complete by co-creating the sets, costumes, scenery and all! This show gives us an opportunity to share what we have created with friends and family.
