Expressive Arts

July 27th - August 7th

Ages 8-13

During the first week of this session the children will have an opportunity to experience and express themselves through classes covering a vast array of art forms, including West African dance and drumming, creative movement, singing and acting. We will go on an outing to a local drama or dance performance. To end this session the children participate in a beautiful production inspired by different ethnic stories from around the world. The children help to make the performance complete by co-creating the sets, costumes, scenery and all! This show gives us an opportunity to share what we have created with friends and family. The show will be August 7th at 4pm; please plan ahead if possible so you can see what your child(ren) created!
